Athlete Sponsorship
As part of our purpose-led ethos, UK Digital Marketing are delighted to be sponsoring up-and-coming junior water-skier Jimmy Elliott.
Jimmy’s story
Jimmy discovered a joy (and natural aptitude) for water-skiing whilst on a family holiday at Cotswold Water Park aged nine.
He was talent spotted by the resident coach, who thought he had a rare ability and with coaching could even make the GB team. After the holiday his enthusiasm was irrepressible – he just could not stop talking about his experience. His parents made the decision to join the Cotswold Water-Ski Club.
With some coaching under his belt, he entered his first competition as part of a South West team. A personal third-place finish helped the team win the overall event.
Continuing his training in all weather conditions, Jimmy was showing remarkable determination and in 2021 entered the U12s British Nationals.

UK Digital Marketing’s sponsorship
Water-skiing is a niche and expensive sport with little national funding. Equipment costs run into thousands of pounds, not to mention the travel and other expenses.
Kevin our CEO has been water skiing himself since the tender age of four and still gets on the water most weekends. His enthusiasm for the sport runs deep.
As it is close to our hearts, we are very pleased to offer sponsorship to Jimmy to help pay for his participation, and support him in achieving his goals for himself and the GB team.

A win in the trick-ski and fourth placed finish in the slalom saw him take third place overall, and he was invited to attend a GB selection day. In a huge vote of confidence in his ability, Jimmy was offered a place in the U14s squad at the age of just 11.
Jimmy’s goal, through accumulating sufficient ranking points, is to go from squad to first team and compete in the European Championships in Spain in 2023.
He is making great progress. At this year’s GB nationals he won the trick-ski and came second in slalom and jump – a haul good enough to come first overall. Great work Jimmy!
Jimmy’s mother, Ayshea, commented:
“We are extremely proud of the hard work that Jimmy puts into his training, come rain or shine. The funding and support that UK Digital Marketing are providing is absolutely invaluable to us and allows Jimmy to get equipment that he would not otherwise be able to have, enabling him the very best chance to fulfil his potential.”
